I've been using one of these for a while now, and thought I'd bounce it off the forum here - anyone seen this? It's a solar powered LED light with a built-in fold-out base. The base has a hole in it that fits over a soda (or other) bottle, turning it into a stand light. The two LEDs are a couple of inches from each other, so when you use it as a reading light, the shadow of your hand or whatever is greatly subdued compared to trying to read from a single LED.
Mine does constant night light duty, about 11 hrs/day on low (setting 4 of four) and has done some overnights on the highest setting.
This thing has amazed me - it has never run out of juice despite rarely seeing direct sun, and then only through low-e glass. It was developed for the third world, where thousands of them have been reportedly distributed for free via the Waka Waka Foundation.
Gotta say, it makes a great reading light even here in the USA. Cheesy looking but tough - I have dropped it several times, left it out in the rain and snow, and never a hiccup.
