A bit of mix and match.

Cousin 2C on the Left, both have 3 CR123As and KPR112 bulbs as well as Writeright on the lenses.

Cousin 3C gave me some questions. When I had 4 123s in a 2D M*g, it was bright but didn't flash in the time I had it up. I got the 3C to put the same setup in to have a sleeker light. It IMMEDIATELY flashed the M*g 6cell bulb. I had another and tried it, FLASH!

Why? Better connectivity in the 3C? It was same batts and bulb.

I've done that exact color combination on my 2aa minimag's. I favor the black handle with pewter head/tail over the other one.

You could take the zerba-ing a step further and swap the bezel rings as well. That would give you four color segments.

No idea why it would flash in 3C but not a 3D. I know the positive end contact is different. Flat metal spring tab in the C and a regular helical spring in the D. Could well be some difference in the switch assembly as well. I know the 2C has a different locking method, maybe the internals are more streamlined, lower resistance? That would be a good thing.

Yeah, the bulb thing has me thinking there was JUST enough resistence in the 2D to handle it. Those two bulbs flashed QUICK in the 3C.

Gotta dig around in the 285lumen thread for the correct bulb. Then, since it's a Carly, gotta make a deal with someone.

Say, I think I asked before. But has anyone got a spare M*g D cell reflector they'd like to send me? I mucked up one with a dremel.
