They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

As I do daily, I checked the Botach website tonight and there they were - Surefire 123A'a for as low as $16 a dozen. I did what came naturally and ordered a lot of them

.

Go at it guys (and gals).

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

UPDATE: I just went into the site (7:55 PM) and the batteries are no longer on sale on the home page at $16 but if you do a search, they pop up at $18 for a dozen - no discount for multiple dozens. I wonder if I'll ever get my full order?

They're in the "batteries" category. I just bought 3 boxes...gotta feed my hungry M6...

Thanks for the tip!

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

Never mind..They took the ad off of the Home Page and put it back where the batteries are. You need to click on the Surefire Batteries description and I didn't the last time I looked.

I wonder what the new regular price will be from Surefire eff. 2/1/03?

I think full retail will go down to $25.00 for the SF12-BB

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

Seriously? Wow. This is definately good news! Depending on usage, it may not be worth it to buy the 223's any more. If you only use a few it is easier to just buy them for $25 a dozen than to cut open 6 223's and insulate them for about $12 a dozen. If you only use a few a year, might as well just get the surefires.

Just curious:

Are those 12 223s for $12 you are referring to the Duracells from cheapbatteries.com?

Cheers,

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

I received my order today and I am totally p....d off! Botach took it upon themselves to substitute the Surefire's that I ordered with Sanyo's.

They enclosed a note saying they made an "executive decision" to do that because of the "increasing military operations around the world" and a "shortage of Surefire and Toshiba batteries".

I called Lucy and she is sending me an RMA. What a waste of time.

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

I got the exact same message and received 36 Sanyo batteries today as well. I'm keepin em. I did a little research, they don't seem to be such bad batteries and I sure can't beat roughly $1.43 a piece. I really do wish they were genuine surefires, but I bet Surefire buys them from someone else anyways. Just my thoughts.

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

ARGH!! I just ordered a while ago and they shipped yesterday. Am I one of the select few that are unlucky?

I AM SO P**SED!

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

This is a quote from Louie in a similar post regarding Universal Batteries @Brightguy.com

TTS sent me 2 of the Universal 123s as a makegood. They were OK, but didn't seem as good as the Surefires that came in my E2e or the GE-Sanyos I use now (from cheapbatteries). Specs on the Universal are online at.....
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Seems he is ok with the Sanyo's. I know for a fact they're TV's and stuff always get great reviews so..............Not sure.

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

I called on wednsday and lucy said i would have to settle with 48 sanyos or i can cancel my order if i like. She was very nice. I took the 48 sanyos. Ron

Re: They\'re Back - Cheap Surefire Batteries !

Ron..Lucy is the one glimmer of hope that Botach has but she had to get approval for my return while I was on the phone.

Good business judgment requires that the customer makes the decision on substitution not the vendor. When I order on the internet I usually add the "No Substitution, Please" line but I didn't this time.

mst3k..I just went to the site and they certainly have good prices and FREE ground shipping ($100+). I've just added them to my Favorites for future use.

Thanks for the info.
