Re: The Hand-Eye Coordination Test

Very cool..........I have to make sure Sasha does this test when she gets back. It will show her she is spending too much time around these things /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mecry.gif

Hello Brightnorm,

My eye/hand coordination is just fine, thank you... However, my startle factor is just a little on edge.

Spoiler: Highlight to read.

I knew it was one of those stupid surprise things that almost give you a darn heart attack. Did that stop me? Nope. This is how sad I am. Now I am totally waked up. It wasn't also good because I had HEADPHONES on at 90% volume. Thanks, brightnorm.

2 blown eardrums, heart palpitations, other than that, good test. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Think you\'re well coordinated? Try THIS:

I want to apologize for the eardrum factor. I started the test but had to go out before getting to the !!!! part, so I posted it assuming it was a legit test.

Right, we all believe you. Speakers on to listen to the sweet silence. Yep, we really believe you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/whoopin.gif

I will continue to protest my innocence, but if the majority verdict is "guilty" then I will accept my fate and walk, shoulders squared and head held high, into the gaping maw of the giant "Ontario Aluminum" factory to be melted down and made into a flashlight.

BTW, the SPKRS ON instruction was on the original email I received with the test.

I got permanently booted from the digital photography review site for less.

Re: Think you\'re well coordinated? Try THIS:

I guess you guys really don't believe me so I won't protest my innocence any more, but since this can be a real shocker, especially for folks wearing headphones,I was going to add a warning to the post, but some people would probably take that as a challenge, and knowing that otherwise intelligent folks test bright lights by staring into them perhaps I should delete it. It really is startling in a way that might be offensive to some people. The fact that keithr got kicked off a legitimate forum for something even less offensive is probably a good reason to delete it altogether, which I'll do now, with apologies to those who wanted to play with it some more. You can get it from Google.

Re: Think you\'re well coordinated? Try THIS:

I liked the test. I like the idea of putting it back up with a warning to turn down your speakers, (REALLY!) If someone doesn't heed the warning then they get a loud sound. It isn't deafening (Despite my earlier comments) it's more shocking than anything else.

On a side note: I have never heard my speakers make that loud a noise. I often have problems hearing them. They sit on the floor 3 feet away and are un-powered cheapies. My company wouldn't spring for anything but the cheapest thing made.

Re: Think you\'re well coordinated? Try THIS:

Although I am curious about this (Norm has already deleted it), I am glad that, if ever I find out what/where this is, I will have been forewarned about the volume. You see, I use two classic old James B. Lansing 100W Studio Monitors w/15-inch woofers running on an 80W power supply for my computer speakers (makes for great effects with the daughter's Roller Coaster program). I can imagine what would have happened to me...

Re: Think you\'re well coordinated? Try THIS:

well..

it starts out as a hand-eye coordination type deal..

1st, you have to click on a fly buzzing aimlessly around your screen.. the fast the time the better of course..

2nd, you're greeted with a grid of circles.. as a circle briefly blinks red, you're expected to click the changing circle.. they go off randomly and you click and then the next "level"..

3rd, there's a large S on your screen with a red ball of light tracing along it's outline.. you're expected to keep your cursor over the red ball thru it's duration around the S..

then, in the middle of the 3rd test, a giant disgusting eye pops up on your screen gushing blood while a blood curtling scream blasts outta your speakers! haha

it was actually really funny unless you have a currently unstable heart condition..
