This looks like a good mod light.

This looks as if it would be perfect for one of tonyb's Micro-Lux 1W Luxeon w/regulator for Mag Solitaire (tonyb's Micro-Lux mod ), especially the one with the large head. This light is a single AA, and has a switch on the back. It is by the company Magnacraft™. Does anyone have one of these?

They are here at ebay:

I have the one with the flush head, and for the money it's not bad. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif (I paid €3.50 for it)

The light is 9 cm long and has a press-fit lens assembly.
So far, the switch hasn't failed me...

Hope this helps,

It has more mass than a Solitaire, it seems like it would support a luxeon well, and the AA would provide longer life.

Oops, my bad. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
the light I have is exactly the same as the one pictured, but it's AAA... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif
It has only marginally more mass.

Wow - looks just like this light here:

AB custom 1AAA LED light for a local CPF'er...

If it's the same (and it looks like it is) then it actually uses AAA rather than AA batteries.

The Ebay seller won't ship outside the USA - anyone want to buy a few of these and send them up here for me? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If they're AA they're a little large for what I had in mind. Wits' End - thanks for the offer! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
