After using a Streamlight MicroStream for a couple years now as my keychain light, I decided to try the iTP, based on all the positive comments on them.

I just received 2 of them and I must say, WOW. And I thought the MicroStream put out a good amount of light for it's size.

These little A3's are absolutely incredible and I was really pleased with how much smaller it is than the MicroStream. I knew it was smaller, but I didn't know it was that much smaller. VERY nice!

Now to find that perfect 1 x 18650 light. Then I'll be all set for lights. Well, until next month anyway.

I know; it's amazing! It's a great performer for its size. It's nice to have an iTP A3 because its lumen rating is high.

That's right! Especially if you run it with a 10440, goes up to 200+ lumens, no kidding! The circuitry can handle the voltage, just dont leave it on too long, it gets really HOT.
 
Glad you like it! I bought 6 ITP A3's (3 mode) at Christmas as gifts for my Brothers, Brother-in-law and Father and they were BLOWN away by the amount of light those little things put out! For the price they're hard to beat! Enjoy!

Look at the Zebralight SC60 or SC60w if you prefer warm tints. Also the Nitecore IFE2 is really small for 1x18650 with a great UI. I have the SC60w and find it an amazing piece of engineering. The UI on the ZL's is hard to beat. Good luck and let us all know what you finally decide on, and what your thoughts are!
 
Regarding the SC60, I've had my eye on one for several weeks now, and have been looking to see if ANY other 1 x 18650, of similar size\cost, puts out more light. Anybody know? Is 300 lumens pretty much the max. to expect?

While I like other lights for serious outdoor use, my iTP A3 goes with me everywhere, and I can't say that about any other flashlight.

Just wait until there comes XM-L LED flashlights from Zebra, i guess it will go to 4-500 lumens :)

And yes, the iTP A3 is a fantastic light. I use mine with a Li-ion and it pumps out more than 200 lumens :D

Yep, the iTP A3 running 10440 is the AAA lumen king. And so tiny!

Thrunite is supposedly working on an AAA Neutron, but they've gone silent the last couple of weeks. I'd buy one instantly, because their 1A and 1C have been excellent -- and are the 1xAA and 1xCR123 lumen kings, as best I can tell.

In the 18650 format, the just-released Quark Turbo X 123^2 is rated 450 lumens on 2xCR123, but it will also take RCR123 / 16340, and -- the best part -- you can buy a Quark 18650 body for it and that is officially supported (4sevens website updated today to reflect this).

I'd also highly recommend the Lumintop TD-15X, which is 720 lumens on 1x or 2x18650 (AW IMR). It's under 6 inches in the 1x configuration, which is remarkable for a light of this output.
 
The TurboX is absolutely a winner, but OP wanted a 18650 in the same size as the SC60. The TurboX is a little bigger with a larger head. I have the old Turbo XP-G and it's still a little bulky for EDC.

Lumintop :thumbsup: But seems a little big. However, i'm gonna buy one soon. Seems like a great light. Insanely bright.
 
Great comments. I'm going to start a new thread regarding my quest for my "perfect" 18650 light. Would love to hear from you all.

Flashflood: you now have me very interested in that Lumintop TD-15X, just not sure if I will like it's bigger size. Need to see side by side comparisons with other 1 x 18650 lights, as far as the physical size of the light. To the other thread.
 
I just bought 3 ITP A3 EOS lights (one for me two for gifts,) and am wondering - Are they water resistant? Can't find any info anywhere on the subject.

+1 on the Zebralight SC60. Love this light, and wished I'd gotten it in the neutral tint.
 
Does anyone know why the purple A3 EOS Upgrade looks to be shorter than the other colors?

I've tried leaving mine on continously for about 10+ minutes on a 10440. Held it up to the A/C vent in the office. Didn't die nor heat up. I had to stop coz my fingers were getting numb. hahaha!

Congrats bro, your iTP's aged well. :) Very useful light, hard-working, almost no maintenance needed! (Just dont let an alkaline batt leak inside) haha
