Throwing maglite?

Im looking at doing a throwing maglite without using LED's in my 3D

Could I use a 75w 9 degree or 12 degree mr16 and get good results?

I know aspherical lenses are not the greatest with incan's but its a narrow spot, has anybody tried this?

Aspherics loose a lot of the light with a incan bulb.

I have no experience with the mod you want to do so I can't provide much advice.

A good incan mod can throw a lot more distance and light then a LED drop-in or mod, at much less runtime of course.

Maybe a metal reflector the size of the stock one would work better?

Check this thread and look under the incan mods section, not much there but can be a start.
