Thanks to all!!

ThruNite Scorpion V2

Turbo head = Excellent Thrower. Just depends on what you are looking for, and what you want the light to be used for.

It will be used daily almost every night checking on cattle and horses , I just want a throwy bright light, any suggestion welcome.

The Scorpion throws decent to a 100yds with the regular head and is a floody. With the turbohead the throw is father and still lights up the surrounding area. I absolutely love mine. I tried to take beamshot pics last night but my camera sucks. I was at a local park and had no problems seeing the deer at approx. 200yds.

If you want throw, then you picked the right light. Thrunite Scorpion V2 with the Turbo head = Great throwing light in a compact unit. You should be happy with that.

Another option is a DBS host and a 1x18650 voltage Solarforce XML p60 dropin (pills are the same size as the DBS, just unscrew and put it in the DBS reflector). Now I prefer the DBS XML, however this is a two cell setup only, so if you want the shorter form factor like the Scorpion, you need to go with the Solorforce (or custom such as Nailbender) pill. The plus to this option is the DBS is very customizable and can be easily upgraded and changed to suit your needs.

Throwers you say?

1. Thrunite Catapult V2
2. Xeno G42
3. TK35

Basically anything with a smooth, deep reflector, that's a thrower!

even the tiny Olight i6 is a thrower with the big head and semi-deep reflector.

another worth mentioning is the Quark Turbo X.
