Tiablo TL-1 Mini-Review

Candle Power Forums

Help Support Candle Power:

I have just recieved my TL1 - it seems to differ from the one in the original review in a number of ways.

The clicky button is still metal but black anodised.

There is no large white battery orientation logo.

The 'tiablo' logo and the TL-1 logo are on opposite sides of the body.

The sharpness of the raised portion around the tailswitch appears to be smoother - it certainly doesn't seem very sharp.

The 'A' mode is now stated as being a on or off mode for high output or strobe.

The 'B' mode is now stated to be high output, low output (at 20%-a bit too bright for me) and strobe. Just cycle through the modes by half pressing before click or you can full click through the modes too.

I can't figure out how to change between the 'A' and 'B' modes at all. The instructions that came with it don't seem to work at all - mine is currently in 'B' mode - which is fine at present.

There is no mention in the blurb or website of any programmability at all, which if true, is a shame.

But the light is very nicely anodised, very bright ( Knocks my D10 R2 and Eagletac P10A off the brighteast perch with eneloops ) and seems to be very well made. There is no high pitched whine on any mode.

If anybody can tell me if I'm missing a programming mode, I would be very grateful.

Ta.
