I popped a tigerlight lamp into a maglight 2c, bent one of the pins a bit, slapped 3 cr123s into it and it came on pretty bright, Anybody out there that would recommend that i try a resistor or soemthing or would direct drive 9v be fine?

Good idea, nice mod. Im not sure if you would need a resistor or not.

I thought about putting together a 5C Maglite, 6 CR123A's, UCL Lens and a SF M6 lamp. Im sure it would work but I don't know if the mag reflector could withstand the heat. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

just wondering what the specs(lumen) of a tigerlight lamp are at spec? seems to work fine, also have a borefloat lens due to thermal issues. This "mod" took me 2 minutes and no tools.

cpf member nerd has done this.

i turned a little bit of the head out for him so the tigerlight la could slide in all the way.

he has reported bright light but very minimal runtime, as is to be expected /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
