Time for another folder, what do you suggest?

I have owned about everything made, but I still trade around looking for what I want. Since I have been out of the loop on knives the last year wondered what you guys thought. Right now I am looking for a metal handle (steel, ti, aluminum) light, thin, sub 3.5" blade. I have had a couple of Sebenzas, but they are worth too much and too easy to sell - and they don't do that much for me. I am thinking along the lines of a Lone Wolf Tighe Pan.

The MT TERZUOLA ATCF is without a doubt the finest non-custom I have ever handled. But it is too big (blade length in my state 3.5"), too expensive, and too illegal for me to carry.

The LW Tighe Pan is discontinued, and there are some good deals on the web where people are selling off remaining stock. I almost went for one, but saw a consensus on a couple of points that bothered me. First, the thumb stud has a triangular shape that many said was uncomfortable. Second, the blade shape is very thin and very pointed. But the overall quality of the LW version received very high marks from everyone.

The Benchmade 780 is due out this month. It might fit your bill. Axis lock, good blade shape, 154CM, stainless steel handles (no liner), and a good price. Pretty cool and yet classic looking, IMHO, unlike most of Osborne's designs. Check out the pictures at Benchmade: http://www.benchmade.com/

and i think that price comes into play. what are you willing to pay?

i think that the new Gen Strider SnG W/Hinderer would be the best knife possible. the price $400.00

but it does comes with the best warranty in the business.

if you break it....they (Strider) will fix or replace it free......NO Questions asked! any other knife maker with the same warranty? NO! so is the $400.00 for the knife worth it? YES

How about an Extrema Ratio Fulcrum? Neither thin nor light, but its supremely solid with a bank-vault quality backlock. Blade is 1/4 inch thick and probably capable of being used as a prybay in a pinch.

Another one to consider would be the upcoming 3" Mission MPF Titanium blade. I have the 4 inch version and am very impressed with it, but find it a bit on the large size.

well first there is no price set for the PT yet. second it is still months away from public release and unless you know someone...you most likely won't be one of the first to get it! and i can say that most Striders are back ordered. so getting in on something new will be hard. so go on and get that SnG. you can check it out @ www.striderknives.com and order one @ www.tadgear.com

and FC since your talking about the PT and it isn't mentioned on the Strider web site yet. can i assume your a member of the USN?
