Hey guys... about to jump into the world of rechargeable NIMH,

Anyone have any experience with the Titanium brand NIMH D cells available at battery junction?

Would be great to save $3 a battery over the Accupowers... being that I want to order quite a few. Could use the extra bucks to buy another flashlight. ;)

Thanks! :)

I've got a set, and have never had a problem with them.

I generally prefer the AccuEvolutions now, but I've also been impressed with the usability of the Titaniums after they've sat for extended periods. I didn't test the capacity, but they once sat for close to a year unused, and they didn't fall flat on their face when I threw them in a direct-drive P7 build.

Wow 1 year and they ran a p7... I plan to charge them up before most uses so I guess the titaniums make sense.

Why is it that I keep going towards the accupower? :( I have a ton of lights, have plenty of primaries to keep them running during an emergency... woe is me woe is me. hehe

I'm not saying you'll get decent capacity after that long. I just threw them in out of curiosity, expecting them to maybe light it up briefly. But, I think I ran it for a minute, and it didn't appear to dim.

Edit: And I won't try to dissuade you from going with the AccuEvolutions. They've been great for me, and I have yet to see anyone report any problems with them. They're great capacity, LSD, and appear to be holding up to scrutiny here.
