Hi, I was hoping someone could clear up some questions I have about Titanium CR123As. All I really know is there was a new version of the Titaniums made, and that Battery Junction bought Amondo Tech.

So...
- Which of the pictures below is the newer, "improved" version?
- Did Amondo Tech distribute both the original "old" Titaniums and the new ones? Couldn't find any mention of a new formulation on their site :/
- Are Titaniums still being manufactured today? Or are they just left over stock?
- Who manufactures(-ed) Titanium cells?

Hello Cowf,

Welcome to CPF.

The top picture is the BatteryJunction cell. The lower picture is either the first or second generation cell that was available from Amondotech. If the bottom cell also has PTC Protected on the label, then it is the second generation.

When BatteryJunction bought out Amondotech, the sold the existing stock then redesigned the label on the new stock.

The new cells are new, the cells are made overseas. The manufacturer of the cells has not been made public.

MattK, owner of Battery Junction, is personable and helpful. He may be prepared to offer more detail, barring proprietary information.

Note: I am not associated with Matt/Battery Junction, nor have I ever been a customer of Battery Junction.

- Syncytial.
