I just picked up a not-exactly-brand-new Titanium L30 and I must say it is a fantastic light. Here are my first impressions:
-If I had to guess I'd say the body is 95% aluminum. I know everyone's hangup for this light is "it's made out of plastic", but it's not. The plastic look comes from the painted surface. While not as tough as its anodized counterparts it holds up very well.
-The light is hefty and extremely tough. It will easily withstand many drops and live to tell about it.
-Detachable battery
-The diffuser on this light is awesome.
-The dual output ballast comes in very handy. Switching down to 20W is very convenient when you don't need a lot of power.
-This light throws surprisingly well for the size and quality of its reflector.
-The glow ring is very nice and retains luminescence very well.
I'll do a full review in the near future. In the meantime I'm going to post a few photos up tomorrow for size comparison.
