TK10 / 11 question

I have a p3d and to be honest i am not too impressed with the possibility of the torch accidentaly turning on when i have forgot to slacken the head (leaving it on turbo) before putting it in the holster. Am I right in thinking that this,if it goes unnoticed will burn out the P3D?
Anyway, question is, will this burn out a tk10 / 11 or are these designed to run on full power indefinately?

It would almost defanatly damage the bulb lf left on in the holster however you can use them and just drain a set of batteries with the tk10/11 on turbo as long as it isn't an overly hot enviroment or the light hasn't been left all day on the window sill however the most i have gone with my TK11 is 35minutes and it was fine, just a bit warm around the head. If you are woried about the TK10/11 switching on in the holster then simply loosen the tailcap a half turn so that when you click it nothing happens and it is esencially locked.

I've drained my TK11 in turbo with no ventilation; actually lying on my bed. When I picked it up the whole body was a couple of notches above warm, nowhere was it "hot" though. The thermal mass of the T series means that they're happy enough running on max, even without cooling.

I use my P3D off & on as a work light. I once accidentally turned it on, in its holster; on turbo mode. Didn't notice it for at least 45 minutes. The body was hot as Hell! Couldn't even hold onto it. I somehow managed to turn the light off.

That was quite a while ago. The emitter didn't burn itself out. Still as bright as the day I got it. But no doubt I shortened the lifespan of the poor little emitter.
