I saw this thread here. I did not want to hijack it though.

I have an older Fenix TK11 that I use in the shop. I had it under a car while I was welding and got some spatter/slag on it and that messed up the coating.

My questions are:

Is it possible to get a lens with the coating only on one side so it can be installed on the inside so when I weld with it again I do not mess up the coating?

What are you guys using to disassemble the head? I can modify a set of snap ring pliers, but if there is something that will work better I would like to know.

Thanks.

For what I know, Fenix glued the head so it's almost impossible to get in the head to change the glass.

Thanks for the reply.

When you say they are glued together are you talking about the entire head assembly or just the lens itself is glued in to seal it from the elements?
