While a somewhat useful list, it's really not that relevant. They are all seconds at this point since there isn't any warranty. Plus, many of the seconds were just firsts that were returned for cosmetic flaws. And probably just as many firsts would be seconds if the owners were picky. Since they are pretty individual in nature, it'll just be important for the seller to be accurate in the behavior and look of the light being sold.
Although, it may make a difference in value to some if they knew the light never made the second list. My brightest light is a second with a better tint but it gets hot quick. My favorite is the first which has a green tint but doesn't get hot at all and is the least brightest of the three. And my least favorite is a Rev 2 second which is an obvious second because the beam flucuates in brightness at the highest level but on the second level it's still nearly as bright has my first.

I agree. As of now, it really doesn't make any difference. I purchased 9 ARC flashlights over time and am thankful to have them. Whenever I had a question or placed an order with Arc, it was handled expediciously. There was never a question ARC was a good company to do business with. I think some expected far more perfection than was reasonable at times. Especially cosmetic perfection. Yet, even with returns for such reasons, lights would be exchanged. I have not known many businesses that would honor such complaints. Now that ARC has had to close it's doors, we who have purchased ARC products need to except that what we have is all we'll ever have and when they fail-if they do-we will have to search for a light from a different source. As it was said, 1st and 2nd is moot at this point. Warranty service expires when a company goes out of business. Buyers of anything take this risk and it is a given. Mr. Gransee didn't intentionally want anyone to suffer any loss,of this I am quite sure. Individually, some may have lost something and it's unfortunate. But Mr. Gransee lost everything. And yet even now he is trying to do right by everyone. I, personally ,think he needs some time to regroup and recover and see what the future holds for him and his family. We need to try to put ourselves in his shoes and be understanding and patient. I was always amazed at the involvement Mr. Gransee provided along with manufacturing the ARC flashlights. It seemed quite unusual to me. He gave a lot of himself along with the product he offered. Anyway, recent events have brought change and as with all change we need to make adjustments. I will enjoy the ARC lights I have for as long as I have them. And that will be that. Mr. Gransee has already shown he will do the best he can under the circumstances to close ARC with as few loose ends as possible. But we need to understand there will be some he can do little about and move on...
