To those who own BOTH the drake and the draco...

In a purely subjective sense, how much brighter does the draco seem vs. the drake? I know that it puts out 160 lumens at max vs. the 100 lumens the drake is capable of, but I thought I'd ask how much less powerful the drake seems in real world use. I'm ordering one or the other soon. Thanks for any replies!

I have both bodies, but only one head, so I haven't been able to do a side-by-side.

I prefer the Draco, because it's already small enough, and I'd rather have the extra capacity for the lower levels.

Draco is an awesome light. It was my first purchase this year (got it from modamag at the Bay Area get together last month) and I have not regretted it at all. :grin2:

You'll love the Draco. I briefly went back and forth on the Drake vs. Draco thing, but went the Draco route and I'm very glad I did. It's tiny, like so much so that you can easily forget it's in your pocket. The burst is just astonishing. Everyone I've shown the burst to have been floored, especially *after* I hand them the light and they see how small it is. Oh, the beam, it's lovely; no Cree rings.

I find that I'll always EDC the Draco along with a larger light.

Did you get it yet? I'm looking for a Drake right now and am particularly interested in hearing others opinions on both, and especially different versions of both.

I've had two Draco's and although I prefer the AlTin Ti version I have now, I liked the lower high and low of my Chrome version better. I'd love to have a Drake/Draco with 4 preset levels (much lower low, two med settings and a high a little lower than I have now, with less heat) and no memory with a warm tint! :popcorn:
