Will the day ever arrive when you say to
yourself, I have far too many Flashlights.

Would it be never, maybe sell a couple,
stop buying, trade a few ect.
I have even heard of people
giving it away completely.

It may, but it depends on the circumstances surrounding it. I've been working with computers for a long time, more than a decade and a half. Six years ago I was on the cutting edge, overdriving them, pushing the limits and doing all kinds of stuff.

Today, I'm selling everything I don't need and walking away. I think you could say it's a sense of frustration. Maybe all the years of working with them and getting nowhere have taken their toll on me.

I like lights better though, because they are evergreen, they do not become obsolete overnight, and they do not randomly fail at the most inconvenient of times. They're cheaper, so you can keep enough lights and reloads to ensure you're staying in business when you need them.

Kevin, I have experienced the same thing as you except
with two way radio's, I have had that many radio's
even sold off some of my collection. Some how I do
prefer the lights as they will never change, they only get better.

I just thinned out collection of ARC's, to purchase a ARC4/5. Now there out of business. I guess I should have left alone. Live and learn.

I just give my old good flashlights to friends and upgrade myself with new ones....And you guys call yourselves flashaholics....LOL /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm not a collector by any means, I just have to own the 'next big thing,' in this case Mr B's Lionheart. I'll sell or give away anything I deem 'obsolete.'

It is very sad about ARC. All I managed to get was an AAA (And I will NEVER part with it!).

It IS an EXCITING time to be a flashaholic!

Now that the 3W LED has hit the mainstream, it gets better all the time!

I LOVE my new Lambda Drop in High Dome Pill! It rocks!

And before too long my EL XM3 will be along!

I've cooled off quite a bit on incandescent stuff. But as long as there is a P60 available, I'm cool!

I do have too many. No doubt of it. But the ones I want to be rid of wouldn't interest fellow flashaholics. We're talking garage sale baby!

sometime I did say to myself "I got too many flashlight on me."
