So I've been getting more comfortable with the spin indexer. I went back to the second flashlight I made, to see if it could be improved. The original flats on the head and tail were done by hand, rotating them in a vise at the mill.

After running them at indexed degrees of rotation, I found that any errors were fixed with one pass at .015", so not too bad! I've been an artist/ creator my whole life, so my eyeballs are pretty good at seeing angles/ flats

The finished product. It was barely off before, but I knew it :)
Makes my mind happy that everything is correct now.

Also, the flats are within a degree or two of being aligned between head and tail. That wasn't planned, but I'll take it!

Extremely nice design! I can't believe the head and tail flats line up.

Thanks Nitroz,
I learned quite a bit doing this flashlight. I think this was 5 years ago? At first, I just made the body. From there, as I gained experience, I made the head and tail. This image was from a couple years ago, when I did the bezel. If I remember, I trashed two prior attempts before getting the final version. The design was just made up on the spot, but I like how it turned out.
