not sure where to post this, Homemade and Modified seems sort of appropriate.

I need a good set/pair of strap wrenches for HDS/quark sized lights(about 1 inch. dia.), what would you recommend?

mention any other notable tools of the trade that have proven themselves worth the money.

All I can recommend is my Integy hex drivers.
My highest quality tools are Craftsman. My soldering iron is a Radio Shack 40W.
Some no name mini needle nose pliers.

Loggerhead tools bionic wrenches and some innertube from thin tires works wonderfully in the 10" size. :thumbsup:

TC beat me to it. Bionic wrenches are awesome.

Some other great tools are hemostats, pin vise, and a dental pick.

For a cheaper option, I have had good luck with the Kobalt Tools strap wrenches from Lowe's. The are pretty grippy, and allow me to get some good torque on lights as small as an AAA size L0D. I wrap a light with rubber bands if it is too slick for the strap wrenches to grip well.
