Looking to trade a Sundrop XR-U head with a High CRI Seoul GDuP light engine for one of the original Sundrop heads and 3S Nichia 083 (preferably 083B) light engine. My Sundrop XR-U head has been used only indoors and is blemish free.
The High CRI Seoul GDuP light engine is a 3 speed constant current light engine regulated at 10mA, 180mA, 700mA (no more PWM flickering). It was designed by Wayne Y (of the sandwich shoppe). This is for someone who currently has a 3speed Sundrop and is looking for a more focused beam (and added modularity) that can be seen here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=239966 The great aspect of the XR-U head is it's modularity and ability to work with various light engines. Unlike the original Sundrop head, the XR-U can be host to a Cree XR-E, Cree MC-E, Seoul P4, Nichia 365nm UV, and various other light engines due to added clearance to the sapphire lens. This gives it a lot of lego-ability.
My current needs require the wider beam of the original Sundrop than the more focused beam of the XR-U. A user is ok, as long as it's not beat up.
