Tritium LGI Mod

Not really, but the recent posts about glow powder prompted me to dig out some "PRO GRADE" pre-mix kindly provided to me by Mr. Glow that I have almost never used except to experiment with, and apply it to selected parts inside the head of an LGI. The pic on the left is what a well "shaken, not stirred" bottle of the stuff looks like after exposure to a few seconds of LGI beam, then the before and after of the head/lens when exposed to the light's own internal beam for a few seconds:

Moderators: this describes a modification to an already modified light, but feel free to transplant it to the Luminiscent Section if you so deem...

Well, Charlie-that bottle I sent you still seems to glow pretty darn well after traveling 3000 miles to you.

I want some "magic" powder too... Why couldn't you have waited untill I told my wife about the $17.- flashlight magazine?

Sweet!! I wound up doing something like this by making a "mask" out of those glow in the dark plastic stars that are meant for sticking to your ceiling. I just grind a star down to a disk and drill a hole in the center for the Luxeon to poke through. I use a couple dabs of hot melt to keep it in place but still permit "removability" (is that a word?) for any potential maintenance that might come up.
