True Flashoholic\'s Watch!

It's a bit pricey, but check this out!

I read a better description of it at another source (can't remember where...); the UV illumination consists of a small UV LED at the top of the face (above the 12, under the bezel ring I think...)that causes the luminous hands to glow when activated. That, coupled with the built in LED flashlight and flashing red LED "locating signal" located beneath the 6 make this a watch with a pretty high "cool factor"!

Dunno, think I'd prefer to just have super-bright luminous markings all the time, go go tritium /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The built in LED flashlight is interesting, but it's gotta be < 1 lumen and the battery life is probably measured in minutes.

Saw the watch last week. It's really quite well made, like all Swiss Army products. Maybe someone will put an LS in it...

Re: True Flashoholic\'s Watch!

I really liked this watch when I saw it on the net. Then I got to play with one at my local surplus store. It's really nice and the LED's on the face are very bright for night time viewing. As far as the main light goes, I'll have to pass. It would certainly do in a pinch, but that's about it. An ARC AAA or Photon would be a better choice IMHO.
