Does anyone know if the positive nipple can be removed from these cells without affecting the protection circuitry?
Some protected cells, the contact strip from the PCB circuit is welded to the actual, or "real" flat top underneath the nipple (eg. TrustFire 2500mAh cells, which I have successfully removed the nipple) and others, the contact strip is welded to the nipple. I just wondered if anyone knows how the black/flame TrustFire 18650 protected cells are are constructed?
