OK so I just bought a Trustfire P7-F16 and the tail cap Didn't work, I hit it lightly and it worked for a while off and on, then it would only turn on brightest. Then it would only turn on if I unscrewed it halfway... now, it wont turn on what so ever. I'm just wondering if there is a way to repair the tailcap clicky that came with it. Or so I have to wait the 1,000 weeks it takes DX to ship something to California? Anyone know of anywhere you can buy cheap ones locally? or off a site that ships within the US? Does anyone know any DIY repair tutorials?

I guess this is why they sell 10 clickys for 5$ on DX.

So.... I took out the LED tip and tested it, it works. I took out the switch and tried it with a single LED and wires and a battery streight to it... it works... when I scre it all together its no go..... WTF.

OK I have narrowed it down... I dont know if I will ever get a reply but Ill just keep talking. I connected a wire to the - end of the battery and then put the + on the driver. When I touch the - to the threads on the heat sink or the bottom of the driver, there is no light. When I hit the wire directly to the - on the emitter it lights up like the sun... so what is going on here? and how to disassemble the heat sink, emitter, and driver from assembly( Pill? )? There is white glue holding down the emitter?

At this point (and I hate to say it) I think its probably time to return it to DX for an exchange. I suspect you have an issue with the driver.

Does anyone think that I could get a comparable or better driver? if so which one.Like this one? I don't really give a crap about the price if it just gets here quick instead of waiting double time for a replacement. Just not sure if this one will fit my Trustfire F16
