Trustfire P7-F16

Here is a quick rundown on my new Trustfire P7-F16 from DX (SKU: 18695). The light is of comparable quality to my other DX lights. The overal finish and machining is a little better than the Ultrafire C1, but not quite up to the DX WF-600

The Trustfire P7 is very floody. I love it. This is what I was hoping for with the Ultrafire C1. I modded the Ultrafire to direct drive to get more power out of it. The Trustfire P7 is nice to have two modes. The battery goes pretty quick and it is bright, so the low mode is great to have. Normal day to day stuff, the normal mode is perfect. Then you can crank it up to high for a lot of light.

I have my lights next to the bed for checking the house at night. The WF-600 and Ultrafire C1 are great for distance, but the hot spot on the beam can be a bit much at close distances (inside the house) at night. The Trustfire P7 is floody enough to really light up the room and give you good visibility without burning out your eyes on the hot spot.

Outside, the other two lights are better. I can hit about halfway across the back yard (maybe 50 ft) and then after that, the more focused beams of the WF-600 and Ultrafire C1 are great.
