TT 2L problem

Greetings All,

I just received a new SL TT 2L from Botach. When cycling between the xenon and led lights, the xenon sometimes fails to turn on. I know that the light has a lifetime warrantee, but is there an easy fix I can try rather than sending it in? Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue, only worse. No light at all /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I inspected the unit closely and noticed the ground connection in the head (small metal tab on the edge in a cutout) was NEXT TO and not on the bare aluminum. I scratched the anodizing off with my leatherman and it has worked great ever since.

Anybody know how to take the light assembly out of the light? I would like to "fix" it better, but I don't want to force it open and have a broken light! (pictures really help me...) Thanks!

Thanks John, after further inspection, I think that the switch is faulty. The xenon mode fails to turn on every other cycle (the led mode always works). Looks like I'll have to send this back to Streamlight...

Talk about great customer service, I emailed Streamlight about the faulty switch in my
new TT 2L and here is their reply:

Bend it in half, throw in the trash, provide me a shipping address and I will send you a new one. I need
to know which color you own.

I just purchased a SL TT 2L flashlight that I believe has a faulty switch. The xenon light
skips every other cyle. It goes, xenon, off, led, off, off, off led, off, xenon. How do I get

That IS warranty service at it's finest. Never had to use SL's warranty, but nice to know it's there.

Maybe you got such good service because he thought that you COULD bend it in half!
