Has anyone spent the money on the KT1 (6volt turbo head) ?
I've searched back 2 yrs and no hits.
Seems like the m3t, m4, or m6 would be much more effective.

The m2 with the clickie and turbo head is probably as long or longer than the m6, but I thought it might be a cool addition to my m2. I ordered one a few days ago from surefire and it should be here by thursday.
I really got it in hopes of changing it to a LED as I've seen a few pics here and was really impressed.

But I was just interested in what people thought of the m2t in incandesent form as I am too impatient to wait and see for myself. (Thursday seems like mext month) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyone seen one, or have one ? The suspence is killing me.

I suggest that you for a minimum of three SF123A for TurboHeads (M3T) (or, M2+A19+KT2). If there was a high output P61 lamp for the KT1 then I'd likely be using it... But there ain't and there won't be /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I thought about the kt1 for my 6p, but recently I've been teetering on the edge of the rechargeable fence... so I may well go for a 3 cell lamp and 2*r123 or more likely a19 & 2*p150s (especially as I now have a c3). Search for posts about the n2 turbohead lamp - it's widely loved. Also consider the SRTH instead of the KTx series if you want pure punch with no sidespill.

Do you know if it is possible to run the MN20/21 lamps in a M2 with KT? They're both 6 volt, would it just decrease runtime or not work at all? Even with decreased runtime I'd consider a KT1 if it worked.
 
The MN20/MN21 fit in the KT TurboHead but the MN20/MN21 are designed specifically to function in the SureFire M6 and M5xxB models using the MB20 six SF123A battery carrier.

My understanding is that the open voltage of the MB20 is about 9V with quite some current behind it but that the operating voltage (loaded by the bulb and flashlight resistance) is going to be less because the SF123As are being sucked dry like a... well you know... cocktail pitcher on a Hen Night...
Anyway, two SF123As in series would not be sufficient to light up the M20/M21 very brightly. I have not tried this but I figure it likely to be the case.

Just got a reply e-mail from surefire...The KT1 is backordered for at least 3 mos. Cool I can put the money into a m6 or a m3t. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
