Turquoise EV is great!

I got this Turquoise EV and the color is a very pleasant bright green, much better than Photon turquoise. It is also brighter than both my arc LE.

So the question is, does the turquoise and the green arc looks the same in term of beam color and brightness?

What is the "EV"?

This refers the colour and brightness rank of the turquoise LED. It is an uncommon part that is noticeably brighter than the "regular" rank of turqouise, and Arc being Arc- "Smallest, brightest", when they found a limited supply of them, they bought them all up and are currently using them in the turquoise part.

Think of them as the equivalent of the "S" rank white LED.

Of course, EV could also be referring to Darell`s electronical vee-hickle, but in this context, I don`t think that`s what`s meant!

A few months ago I got a green and a turquoise( pre-EV ) arc-AAA. The colors were IDENTICAL. But I recently got the turquoise EV and it has quite a bit more blue ( and is brighter ) then the first ones I got. I like the EV alot ( almost as much as my Cyan LS- which is really green) - I ordered 5 from TTS to give as gifts.

I am, of course, keeping an EV in my EV now... Sadly, nobody but us light nerds would "get it" though.

I thought the EV is greener than the original turquoise, I don't have the original to compare anyway. Thanks for the tip.

Hotfoot...will do. Will like to compare it with your green arc to see which is brighter.
