Two different recommendations, All throw and edc

My primary light im looking for now is a thrower. What i need is a dedicated thrower with little spill. Im mostly using it for varmint hunting and check cows . Size is not a problem im use to carrying 4d mags so anything lighter would be great. Batteries are also no preference just need a decent run time, sometimes were are hunting for hours and not changing batts would be nice. budget is around $100 i was thinking a tn31 or a maelstorm mmu but its really pushing the budget.

Secondly is a edc like light. Something smaller that will take 1-18650 or 2-AA. Needs decent run time and a low low would be great. Built like a brick poop house too. The qwark pro in 123 is what im leaning towards but don't know if there are better out there for $50 budget. Also dont know if i want XM-l or Xp-g or Xp-g2

wow that xeno seems like a no brainier if the construction is anything near the qwark. Is there a draw back? seems to good to be true. The olight is on my list do they sell a pressure switch for it?

The quality is a little better than the Quark and the fit and finish is excellent. Plus it has excellent regulation on single 18650 and can accommodate the larger cells.

In addition, XENO lights tend to come in a larger variety of emitter bins when compared to their better known competitors.
The F42 is no exception. I believe it comes in 3 bins (Warm White, Neutral, and Cool White). You'll still find them offered with XP-G. Slightly lower output (vs. XM-L) but the throw is class-leading so it's hard to tell the difference downrange.

My XENOs have retired a number of my more 'pricey' lights.

Re: EDC

The XENO E03 (single AA/14500) is a great option. It's well known here and it's show piece is 400+ lumens.

You can usually find them for $20-$25. Unfortunately, due to their popularly of late some retailers have been asking $30-$40.

Advice from users online/cpf is great but you need to get your hands on these lights in-person/in-store.

Crelant has some well priced throwers. Dereelight's Aspherical lights (Nightmaster, X Searcher), are also nice if you just want a spot light, no spill.

Shiningbeam also has some lights that could work. I'm not sure how many sub $50 18650 lights have a really low, low mode.
