Two LEPs in two weeks.

Last Tuesday my "Mini LEP Cosmos" arrived. Love it so far. Such an intense little beam.

A couple days later, the "LEP DX Reach" is now in stock again. Immediate purchase after having fun with the mini one. I've seen some suggestion that the output may not be exactly what it says on paper...but I suppose I don't care. So far just a curiosity and fun toy. Neither will likely kick the Modlite OKW out of my pocket long term.

In this video I'm standing on the corner of my property, hitting a sign across a busy street about .2 miles away, through street lights and other light pollution. Approximately red dot to red dot.

I was very impressed.

I’ve read that the DX Reach is just a rebranded Lumintop. Think there’s any truth to that? (And the cosmos a rebranded antman)

It's out for delivery as we speak. Cannot wait to mess with it.

Well, I have no idea what it IRL specs out vs paper, but holy crap. I've never had anything like this. I love it.

Such a tight beam. For everyday carry I still think the Modlite OKW is the winner (paired with my Streamlight MicroStream) for daily carry.

Well now, this thread was exactly what I was looking for! I just picked up a Cosmos for myself.

Except it didn't come with a battery :confused:

So I'm hoping people can recommend a decent name to get a 14500 cell from. I'm new to buying separate batteries.
