UB 1280 Batteries & FL

I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'll bet you could make a pretty nice boxy light with that.

I could make you a light from steel and Al that will use them, but it would probably cost you about $200.

I've not made a light like that before, but I could design it out if you'd like.

I mostly do mods, but I've made a few lights from scratch for friends and family.

I can tell you with certainty that the Vector POB HID spotlight and the VEC192 Dual Beam spotlight both use that battery form factor.

I strongly suspect that the large majority of those 'big' spotlights use it also.

thanks for the info.
Still , using this info , I can not find any of them .
Maybe you would be willing to post a link to these SLs ??

Thanks

I use these in a light.

The Mk.1 Lucifer was a similar SLAb and a garage-sale, modified million-candlepower thing with a huge reflector. (this predates my CPF membership, but seeking to improve on my design led me to discover and build a ROP) The modified MCP spotlight had such battery terminals attached directly to its lead, but after that one conked, I added a garage-sale alligator clip to lighter socket plug adapter, and started using a Brinkmann MCP spotlight. The battery was housed in a big canvas tool-belt pouch, and the light hung from a hook next to it.

Well , this sure helps a lot , NOT .
I am looking for a factory made light that I can buy that uses this
UB
1280 battery .

Anyone know where I can buy one ???????????

What, you're afraid to put something together out of cheap and readily available parts when the alternative is a $200+ custom or tracking down discontinued production lights?

What , I think so . Yeah , that's it .

There must be something already on the market that uses the UB 1280 battery.
Someone please post a link to one or more
