UK CPF GET TOGETHER 2009!!!

Anyone fancy a get together for the weekend of the 11th September? Actual night of the meet 12th Sept then overnight stay and back home on Sunday 13th.

Bit short notice but I thought I'd see who could make it, while we still had reasonable weather.

The location will be North Devon - Braunton near Barnstable. Sea, dunes, torches, cliffs and a place to set up a tent.

There will also be a list of accomodation nearby later on for those who can't stand tents. Any other ideas greatfully received.

A chance to catch up with the latest torches and show off your mods? Or just to have a drink and a chat with like minded lightheads.

I'll PM everyone who came last time and see if I can correlate any lifts that are going.

Technically I'm in the UK, unfortunately I find it unlikely that I can make it as it is my daughters birthday, and I don't think I could quite justify to my wife the expense of a weekends flights and accomodation to talk about flashlights!!

Great place - I spent a month one summer nearby(ish) guarding a beach hut for a film shoot !

I have lots of stuff currently disassembled awaiting bits back from the anodisers so I hope they all get back together in time ! ! !

I hope guys from the last meet will make the effort if available, + more peeps.

I have use of our Coast Guard Station for us to use as a base. So that gives us a car park, toilet, shelter & place to eat/drink. Within short walking distance are 3 good pubs & then plenty of places to shine our lights.
If anybody is thinking of staying over there are ample B&B's & camping. I can assist with accommodation if wanted.

Pencil my name in. I'll have to confirm a bit later but I'll probably come down for a night or two in a tent. 80% sure at the moment.
If I come I'll probably come on the motorbike but if anyone wanted a lift down from Bracknell, I could take the car. Bracknell is fairly close to London...
On the other hand, you may not want to be seen in an 8 year old 1 litre Suzuki Swift.

Can't promise much in terms of new and fantastic lights (student... *sigh*), but it's the thought that counts :tinfoil:. Should be able to make it there no problem, lifts are out though as I'll be on the motorbike.
