UK4aa rechargeable or Streamlight Propolymer 4AA

I know this might have been covered before and I've done as much research as possible to narrow my search for a long throwing 4AA to these two models and possibly the non -rechargeable UK4AA.

Does anyone have an opinion on these models from experience and can anyone tell me if I could run 4 NiMh anyway in the UK4AA incandescent model?

Yes, you can do it. I checked with then and they said it was fine. I *think* you have to be a bit careful about hot-off-the-charger NIMH, but it could also just have been a bad bulb (blew after only 5 hours of use).

It's a *fiercely* bright light in a tiny package. Much recommended.

Another choice for a tight spot thrower is Pelican's 4AA Stealth with the rechargeable rated lamp assembly. I've used both the alky & recharge LA with no problems on NiMH.

My ProPoly is about five years old and needed Scotch Satin tape over the lens to clean up the artifacts and it's more of an intermediate throw/flood. I understand the newer LA's throw better.
