Hi everyone, got one of these in the mail the other day and when I opened the package it had smudges inside the lens, I tried the light first and it worked fine. When I screwed the reflector/lens assembly back together the reflector spun and twisted the led and pulled the -'ve anode off the emitter, so today I resoldered it back together making sure its not touching any of the heatsink and reflector, put it all back together and switched on fine it worked again.
But it heated up very fast then looked dimmer, then within a few seconds it got really dim and turned an ugly blue, almost like a keychain coin cell light.
Is this due to overheating, I reapplied thermal paste behind the emitter.
