Hi everyone,

What does everyone think of the Ultrafire lights that sell on Ebay? I know they are more of a budget light but I want to try to find out if Ultrafire is the way to go for a low budget LED light. Prefferably with long throw. They have been on Ebay for quite sometime now so they must be doing ok.
I guess the CREE XR-E 7090 P4 Bulb is the brightest most powerful top dog of the CREE LED's unless I read wrong. For some reason it just seems that the Cree is more popular than the Rebel....
I see the Ultrafire Cree light on Ebay.... looks like it has some kind of Turbo head. Ebay Item number: 220167666941 .

The Cree P4 is a lower bin. the Q5 is the best and brightest currently.

You may want to look here.

I think it is not a good idea to buy on Ebay. There are so many crooks there. UF lights are getting better. In the past their qualities varied a lot. I have just bought a C8 (Q5) last week. Their construction in general, especially the threads, have improved a great deal. But with UF lights, I will always check and test each light before buying. So, no Ebay for me.

I bought one from ebay and its fine, good budget flashlight led if you don't want to spend alot of money. Good copy and I think give it awhile the copy will be as good as or even better. They will catch up with the quality sooner or later, given time and skills. Look at Japanese cars in the 60's and now.

It is usually much cheaper to buy Ultrafire products on sites like Dealextreme instead of eBay(mostly in the Cree section). Most of the Ultrafire products are good for the money but there are a few that are crap. Look on CPF for reviews and suggestions before buying.

As of now the Cree XR-E bin goes like this(well, the common ones, in order of brightness): P3, P4, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, R2, sot the R2 ius actually the top dog and the P4 is not the best. But the P4 is still about twice as efficient as the Luxeon I, III and K2 LEDs.

I have an Ultrafire EMR1 and I have to say it is one of the best performing lights/dollar that I've seen. I don't know if it's available on ebay.

I love the EMR1 it has nice build quality and it is much brighter than the Fenix P1D CE Q5 with better tint and throw and, to top it off a nice clicky. For 1/3 the price. Another nice feature is that it accepts rechargeable RCR 123's. Do not confuse the EMR1 with the EMF1 they are completely different. My buddy who has the EMF1 became a bit unhappy when he saw the improvements which were incorporated into the EMR1.

I couldn't agree more. Even the legit' outfits like Ultrafireshop.com sell at a higher price on Ebay to cover high fees. If you want an Ultrafire light, consider Dealextreme, Kaidomain, Supertactical and other retailers who offer better prices and service.

I have an EMF1 and a C2. I will say that they were worth the price I paid, but they are not very well made. The C2 had problems right from the time I first put batteries in it. Sometimes it would turn on, sometimes it would not. I had to put a bit of solder under the head of the light to fix the problem, but it works fine now. The light is bright and has good throw. The EMF1 is bright, but not nearly the 200 lumens that was advertised. If I had to guess, I would say 80. It has a flakey switch and is made out of thin metal. If I used it every day, it would be dead in less than 6 months. I would guess there is very little QC done on these lights. You also, for all practical purposes, do not any warranty with them. Because of their low cost (and a lot of them you have to buy from overseas vendors), they are not worth shipping back. Put a little more money into your investment and get a quality light that will hold up. Try Fenix, Olight, Inova, Wolf Eyes, just to mention a few. You will be much happier with yuor purchase. Just my opinion of course!!
