Quick review:

Order was placed on 6/13. Received today, 6/25

Sorry no pics. My camera is on vacation.

-Uses CREE P4 LED blub.
-Uses 1.5V 2x"AA" or one 3.0V CR2 battery.
-Rear clicky switch.
-Single light mode.
-Color Grey

I have always been intrigued by the contradiction that this format provides. A small body/tube with a big head (for throw). Since I bought this exclusively for the CR2, I didn't tryout the 2XAA tube.

Beam
(compared to my Fenix P2D, on Turbo. Both using RCR 3.0v)
The hotspot is tighter & the output compares favorably. Only a .25 centimeter taller than the P2D.
Tint is white.

Head
OP reflector. Separates easily from the CR2 body. The emitter is screwed into the CR2's body.
Mine had a little rattle. Which was being caused by a gap between the reflector & the emitter. Easily fixed by turning the pill one full rotation, counter clockwise. The pill can be easily turned in either direction.
The pill's movement should be a non-issue when a battery is inserted.

CR2 Tube
Orings on both ends. No lube on the threads.

TailSwitch
Reverse clicky. Mine has a little rattle. Which is being caused by the exterior rubber boot & the interior plastic button having a little gap between them. No biggy.
Also the rubber boot protrudes; which makes thumb activation easy, but tail standing impossible.

Finish
More silver, than grey. Has a nice flat luster to it.

Summary
Looks to be a Winner

I'll leave it to one of our resident pro's to do runtime tests.

OK! I have the Luxeon model of that light and I´ll try to mod the new Cree-model with a Q4 or Q5 to get the most out of it. Very nice light!!

Got my WF-606A (black one) from DX today. Preliminary evaluation: :goodjob:

Quality is good, feels and looks fine. Beam is nice too, well defined hotspot without rings or artifacs. I´ve tested the battery currents (bypassed tailcap) in the 2AA-setup and got with NiMH 0.75A and 0.78A with fresh Alkalines. The light is bright and should work relatively well will Alkaline batteries, because of the moderate currents. The Cree is mounted on a round board that´s obviously glued in.

Pros ... well build, nice beam, good compromise between output and runtime.
Cons ... not able to stand on its tail, single stage, edit: relatively tight battery tube, bigger NiMHs won´t fit

IMHO a nice, stylish (and cheap) Mini-Mag replacement ... but I will have it only a couple of hours, because later today it will become a gift to friend ;).

I don't understand something about this light.

If you use a CR2 it must be 3.0V? Are there primary CR2's at 3.0 volts and if so where can I find them? If I find a rechargeable CR2 at 3.0V I think I would have to get a special charger as my intelligent Ultrafire charger I got from AW I think charges the batteries to to 3.6 ~ 3.8.
