I haven't done a Mag mod in a while. I wanted to use only top of the line components in this build so it could be reliable in any situation.
I started with the TaskLED LFlex V3, witch utilities hardware based linear current regulation set up to run at 3A. I coupled that with my own heatsink. It's always a joy to rewire a C Mag switch for a TaskLED driver and convert it to momentary
I also took advantage of the STAT pin for battery voltage warning via the 3mm red LED mounted just forward of the switch.
I cut and re-threaded it to be just the perfect length to fit in your hand. I also bored the tube for a 26650 for maximum runtime.
I used a Cree XM-L U2 with some GlowInc Ultra Blue and a UCL Lens.
Next I topped it off with some custom Laser engraving.
I'm sure it will feel at home in my buddy's tool box who is a Snap-On fanatic! Definitely one of a kind!
