Upgrade from PD32 Help.

Hi sticking with Fenix, If I invested in something up from the PD32 (315 lumen model) , what would it be?.

I see there is a same PD32 with 330 Lumens, but what else is there, that kinda size I guess :scowl:, but more Lumens?. something newer and maybe even more brighter.

I was looking at a PD32 too, but went for a Klarus XT2C. Has 470lumens and is the same size.

A lot use Fenix but Klarus isn't better or worse. I like that I can access strobe from Off with my Klarus. But generally Fenix is cheaper than a Klarus light.

Perhaps the Eagletac D25LC2 XP-G2 clicky. It is available in the UK and certainly brighter than the Fenix PD32 XP-G S2. The D25LC2 would be a good alternative and it uses the latest 2nd generation of LED.technology. The clip can be rotated or removed for a more compact dimensions. It also throws better.

Fenix is a great brand and they are really popular but, there are plenty of other equally good options out there. That being said, if you want a nice bump in brightness and want to keep in the Fenix family, I would get the Fenix TK15 S2 edition. It will about the same level of light as your PD32 if you ceiling bounce them but, the TK15 will throw much, much farther so it will seem much brighter to the eyes. I think that might satisfy your cravings for a brighter light. For now...

lol, awww didn't mean it in so bad ways,...just that i love the pd32 so much at the moment, i cant see myself upgrading to the pd32 s2 just yet if ever.
i've hardly used mine, and need to.

just stuck a little trying to source a UK seller selling those fenix arb l2's and the ARE-C1 fenix charger.
any ideas?.

Agreed I think the D25LC2 is about the best in this size and class, I have the XM-L version and carry it everyday and I certainly like it better than any of my PD3_'s.

The difference is tiny and most will not notice the difference. If you want an upgrade then go to LED Fire torches and look up D25LC2 XP-G Gen 2. Don't forget the CPF discount.

You could go TK21 U2, or bigger with the TK35.

The output is limited by both the LED and the power supply. In this case, the power supply, 2 CR123 or 1 18650, can push more light with a larger die LED like the Cree XM-L. The XM-L has a larger die then the XP-G used in the Fenix PD32, so you'll get a wider beam then the PD32, and less runtime on max since the LED needs more power to make more light.

Your best bet would be the Eagletac D25LC2 XM-L or the XP-G2 edition. According to selfbuilt, the XP-G2 bins are around 2 bins higher then the XP-G bins at around room temperature, so I'm not sure if the change in output is significant.
