i recently bought a streamlight supertac, and im very impressed, however i do have one problem with it. the beam is so bright that it makes up close lighting situations tough to deal with. what (better) light can i get with different settings for under $100?
upgrade, suggestions needed.

Suggest you look at the Jetbeam, comes in 1xAA/14500, 1xCR123/RCR123 or 18650 models (depending on which model, the 18650 can be replaced with 2xCR123).
Their IBS function allows 3 individually programable modes so you can have a very low low (about 3-5 lumens i think) to 225 lumens and a programable strobe / SOS mode too. The Jet III Military differs in that it only has 2 modes, max and the other mode is programable.
