Hi,
I've been given a standard 2D Maglite - Standard non LED bulb which is rated at about 19 Lumens so not very bright!
I have looked around at other Maglites and have seen the same 2D light that I have with a 3W LED which produces a much brighter light than mine. I have seen that this version actually has a bulb like mine but that Maglite have now discontinued the 3W uprade and can't find one anywhere!
My question is, what advice do people have for "plug and play" LEDs that will ugrade my Maglite to match (or even possibly outperform) the 3W Maglite?
I have seen on another post someone recommending a: TerraLUX 140 lumens LED but after looking this up on Amazon one review thinks this isn't quite as good as the 3W Maglite LED.
Next question is what can I put in, with maybe a little bit of work which will then give even better performance? I'm not afraid of doing "some" modifications and I'm pretty good with DIY stuff but I don't really want to be hacking apart a new gift...
Thanks!
