I was just reading the 2002 Surefire Catalog and discovered to my horror that my pair of Surefire satin gray Executives have Lexan lenses! A scratch test with a knife confirmed this. For a long, long time they had me fooled. In fact, I performed the scratch test feeling confident that the Leatherman Wave would just bounce right off. Bah.
Anybody got suggestions as to how to upgrade these two units to Pyrex? These are the older teardrop bezels without antiroll hex.
Fortunately my KL1-SG is Pyrex, confirmed not via the scratch test, but by disassembly - the 2mm thick slab of glass pops right out.
