Can anyone tell me what why one light throughs more light than another. Like the Vector 3MCp has two 100w lamps(i think), yet it in not as bright as the Thor with 1 100w lamp.
Also, I saw the 3.5MCp Thor at Gander Moutain. It said it had a 100w lamp too. So how does Thor get so 6.5million more candellas with the same watt lamp, compaired to the 10MCp.?? I know the reflector has something do do with it, but theres only so much you can do with a cone.
Thanks,

I can try can clear up the candle power rating on what I call department store spot lights units at available at places like Wal-Mart, Sears, Target, Costco, Lowes, Home Depot and Northern Tool just to name a few it’s all BUNK / Advertising BS to draw you in /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/str.gif
None of these lights are even close to the manufactures ratings out the front end so don't go by that. If you are looking for an inexpensive spot light 2 good units come to mind the 10MCP Thor on sale for around $40.00 or the 2MCP Vector Sport you can find them on sale occasionally for around $30.00.
Reflectors do make a lot of difference size, shape, quality and the type of Light Engine used all comes into play that’s about all I know on that subject, try reading back through some of the post in this forum and you should find some good 411 on reflectors /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif
