Very concerned about CPFer tonyb.

Just curious if anyone has heard from TonyB lately. I placed a large order from TonyB MicroWorks and have not heard from him in three weeks despite several PMs and e-mails. A CPF search indicates he has not posted since July 25th.

I don't mind that my order has not shipped yet, but I would like to know he's OK.

I debated whether I should post this or not, but FWIW, here goes:

On July 19th, I paced a large order for lenses from him and received a response that he would ship as soon as possible. It’s now been five weeks and after multiple PMs and e-mails, I have received no response.

Thankfully, he elected to manually accept my PayPal payment and since he did not accept it, it was returned to me so I’m not out any money except a month’s worth of interest and a few people wondering were their mods are. I was initially concerned about a “take the money and run” scenario, but since this did not happen, my concerns are now more for his well being.

Yes, I’m upset about not receiving what I ordered and being ignored, but mostly, I’m worried about Tony. If anyone knows him or can reach him, I’d just like to know he’s OK. I don’t care about the lenses any more.

I therefor have his real name and address.

Glen, if you have his name and address, you could drop him a line without revealing any of his personal information. If/when he gets back to you, you could report back to us that at least he is alive.

I, too, am concerned that we have not heard anything from him. I got a lux solitair dropin (almost) from him a few months back, and he fixed my light for free after I had screwed it up.

GreenLED, I thought about him being on vacation. This is possible, but not many would take a five week vacation and not let people holding orders know.

Mike, TonyBPD is a different person. I've confused them a time or two myself.

Glenn, I bought one of his first $0l!+aire mods. He makes great stuff!! The lenses he makes for small Luxeon mods are the absolute best for keeping things small. They're expensive, but well worth it.
