I am looking for a small flashlight, about the size of a Mini Mag, hopefully $125 or less, that has a very narrow, intense, bright beam... all hotspot and nothing but. As an example, at 100' the beam would be 4' - 6' in diameter. Any thoughts or suggestions?

OSTS Fandyfire might work or the Smalllsun

That would be an aspheric, most likely. The only way short of a shadow mask to avoid the spill that a simple reflector will produce.

The Armytek Predator has a very intense hotspot - about a 5 degree beam. It's within approximately 1/4" of the Mini Mag in terms of length, too. It's also within your budget, and is a very robust light with lots of features.

If you want all hotspot, then look for a recoil thrower. DealExtreme do the Ultrafire WF-008 which sounds like it would do what you want. SKU22934

Ok, OSTS Smallsun or Armytek Predator G2? They are about the same size and cost, but one is aspheric and the other not. Any reason to prefer one over the other? Also, are fit and finish and quality equal?

What does aspheric mean? Also, I am looking for the same kind of light. I want the most light/lumens in the tightest beam at a good distance. I have been looking at the Nitecore SRT7.

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for, but I posted a thread on something similar last year I think. But I wanted something at closer range. I ended up buying a Romisen RC-29 Q5 off Ebay for less than $15. And I just tested it across a room in my home, 40ft the diameter is around 1.5-2ft, this is just a rough guestimate as I didn't actually measure either the room or the diameter. This little light takes one AA battery. Is probably smaller than a Mini Mag. And it's about 90 lumen. It's quite bright, even the beam is bright. This light has a turning zoom function that is really good. The spot at close range is very tight. And the flood can light up a room. Battery life is about 45-60 minutes. Tail clicky. I can hit buildings outside my building which are at least 200 feet away, their really is not a tight beam though, but I can definitely see the light on the building. What is your application?
