U.S.A. and proud of it.
The old wal-mart nylon and velcro wallet I've been carrying around for years is finally biting the bullet (it's a slow process). All I really carry around is about 5-6 credit card sized cards, a couple 20's, and (the killer) my FAA medical (you'd think in the age of computers the FAA would be able to tell I have a valid medical just from my certificate number, sheesh). I really want something nice and small, as I'm sick of having a huge lump in my pocket.

So in my search for a decent bi-fold (i.e., no velcro, preferably leather), I've stumbled upon Victorinox's wallets (particularly this one: http://www.swissarmy.com/TravelGear...tegory=personalleathergoods&product=30305201& ). They look like they're decent quality, which is something I'd expect if they're really swiss-made. Anyone here use one? Are they any good? Or, since the wallet I posted a link to looks about like what I'm looking for, do you have any better suggestions?

I recently got one of those in November for traveling. I find the slots to be a bit tight, but I think that's probably good for a new leather product. The stitching is nicely finished. My only complaint with it right now is you have to fold bills more than once to get them to sit in there nice. At home, it's not really an issue as I use plastic a lot. I also have their passport folder and it has held up very nicely!

I don't know what an FAA medical is like (form-factor wise) but I'll tell you what worked for me -- the Wagner of Switzerland SwissWallet. (Not Victorinox, but typical Swiss perfection nonetheless.) Their website is absolutely terrible, but the product is nothing short of phenomenal. It is a little aluminium sleeve with a money clip and it easily holds five regular thickness plastic cards, or four if there are credit cards, and about 15 folded bills. It is really classy, and the anodize type II holds up pretty well, though it'd be better if it was hard anodized or better yet, titanium.

I got really tired of having a huge wallet, like you, and this really prevents additional cruft from building up (receipts, useless business cards), so for the past two years I've been carrying this and I'm a lot happier for it. I have two credit cards, my driver's license, and my MetroCard in it.

Some wallets come with a removable ID sleeve, which is really a smaller wallet inside a bigger one.

This is what I've been using for years, its quite small, I usually put bills in my other front pocket, but you could get some in there folded up a few times.
