Having heard from a fellow laserist on LPF that pointing a strong laser at sepia ink in a bottle made crackling/boiling noises I decided to experiment with coffee and one of my 1 Watt blue lasers and found that same effect:

As a child I remember my father using a gas welding setup to do some work and wondering what would happen if you directed the blue flame into water. I suspect that what happens here in this video is what would happen with a gas welding torch. Maybe someone's already tried that?
On another note, Airwolf fans may appreciate this video: http://d.ro/airwolfdryer
Cheers!
