VIP is launching

Just got an email from Charlie that the VIP will ship in April. The price is 166.30 with shipping. Pretty cool.

Why is that idle? The list is still open...there should be enough for everyone. Just email and get yourself on it. The only difference is that you'll get it later. Heck I just got on the list last week!

Yeah I just got on the list last week too for the V.I.P & was about number 286 of a possible 300 builds, but the impression I got from Charlie was that the last 15 had been held back for production errors etc so I may be lucky I may not!

I must have missed something. I got Charlie's email and (after paypaling him in 2 nanoseconds) came to CPF to see what was everyone was saying. I thought everyone would be excited about this. Nope. I searched for recent comments. Nothing.


I thought, well, maybe I got the first email. But no one commented. I thought I was losing my mind.

Anyway, aren't we about to see a real battle between the Arc4+, the VIP and the U2? This seems to be one of the best head-to-head showdowns in flashlight history.

I emailed Charlie about it March 3rd and have heard nothing back. Perhaps I'm just further back and have yet to be notified.

Regardless of the outcome, I'm not going to cry and scream if I don't get one.

Hi Josey:

There is the ongoing VIP thread in the Custom/Mods section. Also, when Charlie first asked for pre-payment from the first batch of customers, he asked us not to post or say anything until the other batches were notified. Fair enough--Charlie has been getting a number of emails, PMs, and posts asking "am I on the list, etc." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sssh.gif

I'm looking forward to the battle--all three lights seem to serve a different purpose, anyhow.

Nice to know that my mind is no worse than usual.

I didn't think the VIP is a custom. I thought Charlie was doing this from scratch for the first time; that's why I posted here.
