volcanoes, Hurricanes, and field lightning above the clouds are some of the epic scenes we have had the opportunity to witness outside our atmosphere...it really sizes up the scale in terms of how small we are:thumbsup:

hmm...USGS hasn't seen it yet...

Interesting data...thanks for posting the link. :) I went digging through the Japan Meteorological Agency page. Looks like there was a bunch of activity in Kyushu on the 25'th

Pics like the volcano above give me the creeps. Mt. Sakurajima vented while were were visiting. I'm accustomed to earthquakes but Mt. St. Helens thoughts don't calm me when this volcano is about 2.X miles away. I got this pic:

heh, a trip to
Mt. KILAUEA (CAVW #1302-01-)
19°25'16" N 155°17'13" W, Summit Elevation 4091 ft (1247 m)

should calm things down, its a volcano that never stopped venting for as long as the vikings were still living

St. Helen's was somewhat of a tragedy though, It used to be such a beautiful place until half of the mountain disappeared:ohgeez:
